Winter season working as a Ski Instructor, in ski rental and representing groups whilst they were staying in Austria. Teaching groups up to 10 children to ski on a 5 day per week schedule. Leading groups of all stages from novice to advanced skiers. Responsible for my group’s safety at all times whilst on the mountain and the safety of people nearby. Leader of and responsibility for a team of ski instructors, making sure everyone’s day runs as smoothly and safely as possible. Managing a team of instructors, utilising everybody’s strengths and weaknesses, to ensure the best possible trip for our guests. Teaching Groups of up to 10 students, from the age of 3 years old upwards, how to ski on an hourly lesson schedule. Teaching and communicating with several different customers, teaching several different abilities every shift, from beginner to advanced ski lessons for different age groups. Maintaining ski and snowboard equipment, keeping them up to safety standards for our customers. Measuring customers for equipment and suppling and fitting them with the correct gear to keep them safe and happy on the slope. Poma lift duty – watching over the poma lift making sure all customers are using the lift safely and abiding lift rules. Also stopping the lift in the case of an emergency and assisting the customers involved immediately. Assisting customers on and off the poma lift was also a massively important part of this role. Attending regular ski and teacher training to better my skills and assist my colleagues. Taking groups of up to 40 people sledging in the designated sledging area; providing them with a safety brief and watching over the hour-long session either alone or with another colleague depending on the number of participants.

One of a full-time team of 4 Barbers in a busy high street barbers shop. Customer service is key to engage the clients whilst cutting their hair. I entered the role as a trainee and was able to perform consistently within 6 months where I could then cut clients hair without supervision or assistance. This role required keen attention to detail throughout the day and for every client to ensure their hair is cut exactly as they want. Involved in opening and closing procedures to keep the shop in a clean and perfectly presentable condition at all times. As 1 of 3 or 4 staff on duty in a very busy shop my attendance and ability to perform is critical in the success of daily operations. Whilst I enjoy this role I feel that I have more to offer as a professional therefore I’m seeking a role where I can use the skills I have and develop new ones.

Promoted into the role from Kitchen porter. I worked here part time, in the evenings and at weekends around my full time Barber position. In charge of a busy bar within a 300 cover restaurant with event space. Time management is critical in this role to ensure customers are served in a timely manner whilst ensuring the bar area is kept clean and presentable to guests at all times. Responsible for set up and close down procedures. Responsible for the end of shift banking and reconciliation to ensure all payment types are recorded and accounted for. This role requires you to engage with the general public to ensure they have a great experience whilst remaining vigilant for underage customers and any security risks, resolving issues before they develop.
