I think "education nerd" just about sums it up... I'm the Head of Teaching & Learning at Evidence Based Education, an organisation that delivers professional development based on the best available educational research. I help develop our courses and resources, support teachers in our really incredible (if I do say so myself) online platform, and generally nerd out over anything related to teaching or learning (which, it turns out, is a lot of what we do). I nearly completed my PhD in education before shifting to teacher development. As a former high school history teacher, I think educational research and practice are both pretty cool—and (should be) linked. I am naturally curious and enjoy working with others from a wide range of disciplines; this also makes me an avid collector of fun facts and trivia.
