At Bear & Dog Productions, I managed a wide variety of projects from script to screen including over a dozen short films, an international commercial, two feature films, and three feature documentaries. I worked on script development, writing, analysis, feedback, and funding applications to turn ideas into reality. I also acted as a Production Manager, working with other production companies and providing services as needed. I led both small and large teams across different projects in a variety of locations and environments, from forests to labs. This involved hiring, payroll management, and supervision of many contractors and employees, while also tracking multiple projects at different stages. I also handled the distribution and financial recoupment, including film festival strategy planning and theatrical distribution for feature films. Some of my achievements include getting funding from VicScreen, Screen Australia, and AFTRS for the short film "Fun Times," which was part of a diversity talent camp competition. This project involved working with a neurodivergent writer to produce his script, which won several awards and screened at major festivals. I also created a new production concept for a social media platform, "Beneath The Darkness," for InstagramTV and TikTok. This involved making very short content (1-minute episodes) filmed on high-quality cameras for vertical digital platforms, with audience interactivity. This project got funding from both VicScreen and TikTok. I also secured distribution for the feature films Disclosure, Truth to Power, and Queens of Concrete, showing my ability to pitch and negotiate for distribution opportunities, leading to a limited theatrical release and online distribution. These achievements show my skills in project management, creative development, and strategic distribution in the screen industry.

In my role as Screen Production Coordinator VCA Film & Television, I had multifaceted responsibilities that revolved around the coordination of student screen content. This encompassed guiding the production of approximately 700 short films from script to screen. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the educational aspect of the program, preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and demonstrations across all year levels, specifically focused on production processes and procedures.I was also deeply involved in facilitating the production process for students. This entailed scheduling and managing production meetings across various year and course levels, ensuring the safe and professional execution of their scripts. I was responsible for the meticulous collation, approval, and assessment of essential documents, including Risk Assessments, shooting schedules, call sheets, and chain of title documents, for all student screen productions.During my tenure at VCA, I successfully navigated the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic by liaising with key organizations like Screen Australia, VicScreen, AFTRS, and the Department of Health and Human Services to implement crucial COVID-Safe guidelines. This enabled students to continue their studies during the pandemic. Additionally, I coordinated over 50 capstone films during the pandemic lockdowns, ensuring they were ready for the 2021 Grad Showcase. My role also involved establishing valuable relationships with industry leaders, such as Epic Games, leading to the VCA's involvement in the Epic Short Film Challenge 2022 and securing $5 million in funding from the Victorian state government to train students in Virtual Production. These experiences reflect my ability to navigate complex challenges and foster industry partnerships while ensuring the successful execution of educational programs and film productions.

In my role as a Development Executive, I had the privilege of engaging in a complex range of responsibilities. This encompassed the dynamic process of pitching, development, and project assessment across a diverse array of concepts. These concepts spanned from initial ideas seeking development funding from esteemed screen agencies to fully-fledged scripts ready for casting and distribution considerations. My role also extended to networking at a high level and establishing enduring business relationships within the industry. This required my active participation in prominent conferences and film markets, including Screen Forever and 37 South, representing the company to build valuable relationships and explore potential production opportunities. Furthermore, I undertook the creation of early marketing and investor materials for undisclosed projects, which entailed crafting persuasive pitch documents like one-pagers and comprehensive story bibles, essential for presenting compelling cases to potential distributors and investors. Lastly, I engaged in script reading, analysis, and reporting, actively seeking out new scripts and providing in-depth assessments covering marketability, anticipated audience reach, budgetary considerations, and production feasibility.My significant achievements: Successfully pitched to Umbrella Pictures at 37 South, leading to their involvement in the development of a feature film. This collaboration included their expression of intent to distribute the film once cast and production finance were secured, highlighting my persuasive pitching skills and ability to secure valuable partnerships. Additionally, my proactive networking efforts at Screen Forever resulted in establishing an ongoing relationship with Roadshow Pictures. This association proved instrumental in garnering high-level feedback and analysis for several scripts, demonstrating my capacity to forge and leverage relationships to advance project development within the industry.
