Employed as the technical lead for the DSS IT Operations enterprise analytics platform team, supporting technical delivery of a Hortonworks Hadoop platform upgrade and capacity expansion to support advanced business analytics.This role encompassed providing senior technical advice on analytics system build, design, and new project proposal requests, engaging business and technical stakeholders to shape platform capability enhancements, mentoring of junior staff and championing team process automation via bash/Python scripting for our Linux systems.Three key achievements in this role included:- Delivery of a Hadoop platform upgrade in the organisation, integrated with enterprise technologies and services including Apache Hive, Spark, IBM DataStage and Qlik Sense- Delivery of an IBM Information Server platform for business metadata and ETL in the organisation, using Linux server and Oracle database infrastructure, and integrated with services including Hive, Siebel and SOAP-based web services- Coordinating team resourcing for Production DataStage ETL deployments of two high-visibility IT data migration projects to support the successful go-live of new IT systems

Employed as an application systems engineer for the DSS IT Operations BI/Reporting team.This role encompassed administration and maintenance of the DSS SAS, IBM Cognos BI and Spatial application environments. Administration activities included Production deployments of Cognos BI objects, GNAF Spatial data deployments and process automation through PowerShell scripting.A key achievement in this role was the successful technical delivery of a IT systems migration for Spatial services to a new Active Directory domain. This included application deployment/configuration, working with other teams for service integration, and delivery of artefacts including as-built documentation and communication plans. A second key achievement in this role was the building of a Powershell-based process for Spatial data deployments to streamline releases, reduce staff overtime and increase system availability.

Employed as an IT graduate at the Department of Social Services under the Australian Government ICT Graduate Program, encompassing two IT rotations/roles.My first role was as a junior ETL developer, working on design, development and testing of data warehousing database artefacts. This included the delivery of an independent database project from design through to production release using the WhereScape Red Software package.My second role was as a junior IT system administrator, responsible for the upkeep of the DSS SAS application environments on a Windows Server platform. This included administration, patching, and investigating process automation through PowerShell scripting. In this role, I gained experience in coordinating and deploying Production SAS changes as part of DSS Enterprise Releases.
