It could be any number of dangerous configurations of chemistry, time, nature, human-intent, and ingenuity. How does one approach such a high-stakes, chaotic problem? 'Onion-peeling' is my way of imposing structure on chaos. Whether approaching a suspicious package, a customer concern, or looking for guidance in a disparate set of observations of the world, one must be wary of assumptions and laser-focused on identifying the core problem by relentlessly peeling away the layers that obfuscate answers.
