Having retired from Alexander & Baldwin in 2023, I am now focusing my time on volunteer activities, particularly my roles as chair of Climate Hawai'i, an initiative of the Hawaii Executive Collaborative, and chair of Governor Green's Climate Advisory Team. Climate Hawai'i members include Hawai'i businesses and non-profits, all four Hawai'i counties, the State government, educational institutions and others. We have a two-pronged mission, including helping our members track and improve their own impact on the climate ("Climate In") and working across sectors to promote effective policy for both climate mitigation and adaptation ("Climate Out"). The Governor's Climate Advisory Team is tasked with exploring solutions to the challenge of insuring against future climate-related disasters, incorporating the input of a wide range of stakeholders and experts.
