My photo book, 'Magic Party Place', was the culmination of ten years of work, documenting contemporary England and the rise of the right in the years over the last decade. The book was shortlisted for the Aperture Paris Photo First Book Award 2016, Arles Authors Book Award 2017, Photo Espana Book of the Year 2017 and Photo London Krasna-Kraus Photo Book Award 2017. A short film experimental film with C4 followed, where I reconnected with characters from the book in the wake of Brexit. My film 'Cody’s Story' won the inaugural BJP/Canon Open Shutter award and I also wrote and directed 'It Shouldn’t Happen Here' an advert Save the Children’s UK poverty campaign. I am the co-founder and director of Just Another Photo Festival, a guerrilla festival that democratizes visual media by taking photography to the people and forging new audiences in India. As a producer, I has worked across numerous projects, notably ‘Blood Speaks’ a transmedia project investigating the causes and consequences of normalised violence against women devised by artist and activist Poulomi Basu. They say we are “daring, adventurous and militant.”We believe in the power of mass communication and are inspired by new modes of storytelling. We seek not to emulate the monolithic forms of the past but look to new possibilities reflective of new digital forms.Just Another Production Company was forged out of the radical guerilla spirit of Just Another Photo Festival, a photography, film and new media festival that democratises visual media by bringing it back to the world itself and forging new audiences.Film or photography, analog or digital, interactive or virtual reality - we make no distinction. We constantly evolve, adapting to the needs of the audience, the requirements of our partners and the stories that we tell. We believe that Tarkovsky put it best when he said, “The beautiful is hidden from the eyes of those who are not searching for the truth.”

Magic Party Place is a photo book that takes you to the heart of BREXIT England. It is a series of intimate encounters taken over a span of ten years, documenting contemporary England through the paradigm of the new town of Basildon, in Essex. Located 25 miles outside London, it was built as part of a massive urban renewal program following the devastation of London in the Second World War. As a constructed community, the town is statistically close to the national average, which makes it the perfect paradigm through which to explore the state of the nation.
