As a secondary function I also researched and assessed new technology for use within the organization - a role that allowed me the opportunity to oversee the planning, design and deployment of a number of projects; most notably a central management system based on the Microsoft System Center Suite which provided a platform for rapid software deployment, proactive resource management and greater control over end user experience as well as multiple clustered Hyper-V environments that allowed us to greatly expand the amount of server resources we were able to offer for faculty research and student development in the classroom.
