Worked on numerous varied research based data analysis projects, including :The development of network resilience index for the strategic road network in England to support operational planning and development decision making. I led a small team that derived the approach, collected and cleansed the datasets, identified a statistically valid method of combining the datsets and presented the output visuslisations to the end customer in Highways England. This is now being used by Highways England technology maintenance teams to prioritise planned works minismising disruption to Highways England customers.Researching methods and measuring the quantity of people, volume and type of goods being transported on the strategic road network to support Highways England's potential future performance metrics for cross comparison with other modes of transport. I undertook the research involving the design of an SQL database, ETL data import routine and analytical dashboards visualising the output to different experts from across the industry. I also presented the results telling the story through the data visualisations and wrote the final report highlighting the methods available and their likely cost of implementation. Following on from this a baseline was produced of traffic flows across the English Strategic Road Network compared to other countries around the world. The outcome highlighted a number of improvements that Highways England could target to increase flow throughput across different areas of their network.
