Managed an annual budget of over $3 million (FY20-21/FY21-22)Produced the Opa-locka CRA’s first project, the Commercial Facade Improvement Program, with 3 completed projects within FY20-21In unison with Stantec Consultants, created the Downtown Opa-locka MasterplanAssisted the City of Opa-locka in establishing the Historic Downtown Opa-locka districtAssisted the City of Opa-locka in establishing the Opa-locka Innovation DistrictEnabled community partnerships with industry leaders such as Amazon, Prologis, Chen Medical, 7/11, etc.Established the Opa-locka CRA’s first Incentives list for future development assistance, small business assistance  and residential rehabilitation.Collaborated with local universities (FMU, FIU, MDC, St. Thomas University) to create training/apprenticeship programs for upskilling local residents to increase employability.Worked in a joint effort between the City of Opa-locka and the Opa-locka CRA to establish Main Street Opa-locka. Provided oversight of the revision and updates to the Opa-locka Land Development Regulations.

• Determine the effects of regulatory limitations on projects.• Investigate property availability.• Assess the feasibility of proposals and identify necessary changes.• Create, prepare, or requisition graphic and narrative reports on land use data, including land area maps overlaid with geographic variables such as population density.• Conduct field investigations, surveys, impact studies or other research in order to compile and analyze data on economic, social, regulatory and physical factors affecting land use.• Keep informed about economic and legal issues involved in zoning codes, building codes, and environmental regulations.• Mediate community disputes and assist in developing alternative plans and recommendations for programs or projects.• Coordinate work with economic consultants and architects during the formulation of plans and the design of large pieces of infrastructure.• Review and evaluate environmental impact reports pertaining to private and public planning projects and programs.
