I was part of Operations Management and Information Systems faculty, teaching various courses with the aim to create an understanding of key management issues with respect to the use of information systems in modern business applications.

Oversaw and led client engagements at major healthcare providers throughout US; provided guidance and IT expertise to such clients as Ascension Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Cardinal Health, Johnson & Johnson, LensCrafters, and Hershey Medical Center. Managed teams of Consultants, PMs and Architects responsible for implementing projects, participated in management team meetings, created and maintained technology roadmaps and participated in new business development by assisting account executive in closing sales. Worked with clients, industry experts and local PMI associations to ensure CSC maintains a robust and relevant suite of solutions and services. Maintained himself as a thought leader in the Program Management community. Monitored emerging trends and products and represented CSC in various industry forums and conferences. Provided advice to number of C-level executives on technology issues impacting their organizations and helped them implement governance system to effectively assess and mitigate project issues and risks. Below are some of my significant client engagements:- Program manager for implementation of $25M complete suite of Cerner EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles; led the change management committee which was constituted of senior physicians, nurses and staff from Cerner (vendor) and CSC (SI) that developed and executed communication strategies through the various stages of the project and all levels of the hospital. - Program manager at BCBSA for modernization of their claim adjudication system, it was a large and complex, multi-year program. The program consisted of 6 interdependent projects with over 100 consultants across two continents and took 2 years to implement.

Played variety of roles from solution architect to project manager to sales. Some of my major clients were: Canada Post, The Ottawa Hospital, Medical Research Council Of Canada, Riverview Hospital. During this time I implemented number of COTS solutions e.g. Cerner's clinical suite of applications, Oracle Financial suite, PeopleSoft HR suites and Grants management system. My responsibilities on these engagements included: developing information management strategic plans, refining business processes and mapping future state rules, developing procedures for configuration and change management, and planning for disaster recovery & business continuity etc.
