Jean Powell Design in 1988, Grover Communications has logged over 35 years as a provider of graphic and media design services, branding, marketing strategy planning, documentary film and social media communications, as well as illustration, with a specialty in the small- to medium-sized business• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite• Web proficiencies are in customization for Wordpress• Author of visual and communications packages for national and international clients, from logos, to print ads, billboards (including a Times Square jumbotron ad) and annual reports; to ads animated for the web, websites, audio-visual and documentary film productions.

• Responsible for launching, branding and marketing a social and support group for teens and young adults with disabilities, and growing it from a membership of 0 to 50 in under three years• Created the marketing plan and corporate identity; designed and maintained the website (www.rcilYO.org)• Designed for print, took photography, provided videography and editing, campaigns, social media presence, blogging, and ongoing marketing of this program• Provided direct service to youth, including individual counseling, job readiness and coordination of the youth summer employment program; assistance with college preparation, researching and applying for scholarships, independent living skills training; disability culture and community organization training; and outreach to marginalized peers in the community.

• Responsible for all company communications with the Rochester Community. • Represented the organization at conferences, in Albany and Washington, DC for lobbying efforts, and handled creation of a new corporate identity• Active with the local and National ADAPT chapter, a grassroots disability rights advocacy organization• Wrote press releases and made television and radio appearances on behalf of RCIL, and, additionally, wrote and designed the quarterly newsletter, and coordinated public events• Recognized a need for, and started and ran a successful social and support group for teens with disabilities
