Ensured systems were up for development, training, load testing, and production ahead of schedule. •Launched Luminis Portal in 7 months, an ellucian record, fully functional with single sign on, integrated with enterprise applications.•Mobile application also launched in record time.•Delivered a highly available, RHEL-based, Oracle RAC clustered solution on time for all phases, with less than budgeted time from outside Dell, ellucian, or Oracle consultants.•Flawless migration of “people database” off mainframe to Banner with no loss in identities.•Achieved 3K+ transactions under 5 minutes during peak course registration, from 1k transactions. Assisted in designing and managing implementation of new email system, and migration of 40K users off several legacy email systemsKey Successes:• I worked closely with senior administrative offices across the University to migrate over a 1000 senior users from GroupWise to Exchange, running training and managing white glove handling.• I managed the development of the first standalone Portal for University• I spearheaded the adoption of LDAP and identity management technologies.• I directed the creation of the Computer Services Time and Attendance application, a system that is still in use today, and that keeps track of over 250 personnel. • I also managed the development of the automated and online Computer Services Requisition System, which was recognized by a GE Six Sigma team as a very well developed solution that met the requirements of the department. Key Successes • I managed, designed, and contributed to the creation of the Online Application for Internet Access in Temple residences, reducing the turnaround from several weeks to less than 1 day and significantly reducing data entry errors. • I managed and served as the lead programmer for the Online Temple Student Government Elections, branded as UVote. The application was mentioned in Yahoo’s Most Wired Campuses and is still in use today.• I managed and served as the lead programmer for the Online Undergraduate Admissions Application. I was recognized for short time taken to create application (under 10 working days) and for significantly reducing paper and data entry errors.• I created the “Calypso”, Help Desk Web-based utilities, integrating use of card swipe readers, significantly increasing efficiency and reducing time to process at the Help Desk.• I managed the creation of the web-based Request for Undergraduate materials, resulting in elimination of data entry at Office of Admissions and significantly reducing of errors in address labels. Turnaround times for mailings were cut down from weeks to just over a day. Over 50K requests were serviced in the first 2 years.
