Our FoundingThe Junto Institute was founded in 2012 by Raman Chadha, who merged a long career in startups and education, a deep understanding of entrepreneurial psychology, and a growing passion for leadership and emotional intelligence. Later that year, I joined as co-founder, bringing operational experience with incubator programs and an appreciation for humanity’s place in business. Together, we launched Junto’s flagship program in early 2013 with five courageous companies who bought into their mission of helping leaders become infinitely better, smarter, and healthier.Original ModelThat program was designed to help founders become more effective leaders, build greater team alignment, and accelerate their learning curve. It ran 9-12 months and included four parts: Leadership Forums, Mentor Teams, Tutoring Roundtables, and Classes. JuntoWomen BeginsIn 2018 I launched a special series of sessions for our women founders, naturally titled JuntoWomen. We grew this into a full-fledged program in 2019, hosting regular sessions that were made accessible to all the women within our companies. Tackling topics like - Integrating the Polarities of Feminine Leadership, Mental Health & Women’s Health in the Workplace, Challenging Inequity & Encouraging Change - JuntoWomen grew, with the support and collaboration of a stellar leadership and facilitation team. After 2020 and beyond JuntoWomen naturally transitioning into a virtual offering and continues to bring women together for discussion and growth today. 2020 & The New ModelThe team transitioned as the pandemic hit, instantly turning Junto’s in-person sessions to virtual ones and accelerating its evolution into an online company. This ultimately led to a new, and its current, business model of a professional development and personal growth membership network, doing business entirely online, and serving bootstrap-minded companies and leaders throughout North America.

Women’s Leadership Program for Founders, Executives & Emerging LeadersAs women, we know what is needed to reimagine a better way for ourselves, our businesses, and our world; the wisdom and power to create a new path forward is already within us. By bringing women together in a creative, structured and trusting environment we can share, harness and act-on our innate and collective wisdom. Our program approaches leadership development as a process-driven inside-out experience, rather than focusing on the study and adoption of principles and practices from the outside-in.Small groups of women in a similar phase and stage of their careers come together in an intimate forum of 6-8 members for a period of 9-12 months. Together they select specific topics they collectively want to “reimagine”. Through structured sessions the group crafts new leadership practices to approach each of their topics in a new, more aligned way. With peer support and group accountability, each member then works to experiment with these new practices in her life, work and leadership. Overtime practices are edited and evolved based on the feedback and discoveries of members as they integrate the reimagined practices into their daily lives.

Established the People Operations function at Reviews.com during a year of rapid hiring and team expansion. Core Projects:- Team Values: Facilitated a team-driven project to update and align the company values, bridging the company's founding principles with its evolving culture.- Onboarding & Team Welcome: Outlined and updated company’s onboarding process and new hire experience. Streamlined logistical details and elevated the hospitality and team involvement in the culture introduction and company welcome. - Role Descriptions: Initiated project to update job descriptions team by team, for internal (currently filled roles) and externally (live postings) facing role descriptions. Focused on aligning the role description with necessary metrics, activities and behaviors to be fulfilled. Behaviors specifically aligned with living core company values, especially those most apparent in the function of the role. - Career Pathing: Initiated project to establish and clarify pathways for career movement within the teams and company as a whole, for both upward and lateral role changes.- Team Learning & Development: Kicked off company’s learning and development efforts with team education sessions, each team getting a chance to share an inside view into their function and roles, providing team members with a deepened understanding for the business as a whole. Next initiated workshop sessions on specific tools and skills, based on team interest. Started these by sourcing the knowledge from within the company, having team members with specific expertise facilitate the workshops. Also, hosted regular learning sessions on specific HR topics to provide insight and clarity around utilizing company benefits, establishing a 401k, changing insurance plans, etc. - Company Culture: Planned and hosted interactive company-wide offsite events, end of year give-back activities, team recognition and appreciation opportunities, and more.

Managed operations and strategic re-design of the Michigan Business Incubator Association (MBIA)

Led development of the Center for Business Acceleration & Incubation Studies as a part of the Institute for Research on Labor, Employment, and the Economy at the University of Michigan. Designed plans for the establishment of business incubators in various locations throughout Michigan.

Developed recommendations for the strategic reorganization and redirection of the Center. Managed feasibility studies for the launch of multiple business incubators across the State of Michigan.

Planned and taught classes on sustainable development to middle school students throughout Beijing. Researched and wrote report on the similarities and differences of sustainable development education in China and the US.

Actively learned how policies become implemented through observing session, committee hearings, and private meetings. Completed a detailed report on the role of Michigan’s state funded universities in the suffering economy.
