Director Of Information Technology
Current•Develops and establishes IT policies and systems that support the implementation of organizational strategy •Oversees all technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals •Leads network and system security and develops policies and procedures to strengthen network and security including evolving a plan, assessments, organizational awareness, and monitoring of access control systems to assure appropriate access levels are maintained •Maintain a disaster recovery plan to ensure restoration of systems in the event of a disaster as well as proper backups and retention policies for data and systems •Manages all phases of IT projects, managing and monitoring progress of internal and external resources •Act as project manager or sponsor for technology projects which includes, but is not limited to, desktops, servers, network administration, databases, third-party applications, customized reporting, telephone systems and security and mechanical systems requiring IT support •Manages and oversees all aspects of information systems •Evaluates issues pertaining to information systems for strategic planning and innovation. Anticipates risk, implications, and possible outcomes before taking action •Researches and identifies new technology trends that relate to the YMCA’s needs and makes recommendations •Develops and monitors budgets related to information technology. Monitors the costs involved in maintaining and improving information systems, including equipment and software. Evaluates and recommends technology purchases based on the YMCA’s needs •Builds plans for the deployment of resources. •Provides leadership to the IT help desk function; monitors and develop reports to improve efficiency and reduce association reliance on the help desk •Oversees vendor contracts •Ensures proper operating procedures are in place in regard to technology and provides training as assigned•Ensures training and support is provided to users
