As a next generation family business owner, we are often pressured or pushed into a certain direction of a family business. In my case, this was not true. My father always said, “You got good intuition, CJ. Go with it!” And so, I did.My dad had already taught me the company ropes. By the time I was 18 years old, I had painted catwalks, cleaned and fire-watched boilers, and helped our foreman layout projects. When I went to college, I found interior architecture and design an appealing major, after all, I love dirty hard work! So, it seemed natural, after finishing my degree, to return to my dad’s business. And with my return, I brought a new understanding, one very different from a traditionally run mechanical construction company. But it is my passion that drives me to do what I do, and that comes not only from the art of craftsmanship, but from the interaction with people. Yes, Fraser Engineering builds all sorts of simple to complex mechanical systems (we are the masters of pipe), but what sets us apart is WHO we are:
