- Designed, architected and implemented RSRCHR, a cloud-based computational and image processing platform for neuroimaging based research.- RSRCHR provides: data compliance, storage and management; virtualized compute resources for processing and analyses; and collaboration tools.- The RSRCHR concept and design is the result of a collaboration between RSRCHR and neuroimaging labs at the National Institutes of Health, Stony Brook University, and several other research institutions.- RSRCHR uses AWS services to virtualize all infrastructure. The client is written in Javascript and REACT, and servers run on Python and C++.

- Designed, architected and implemented OurGov, a government data analytics application for the iPad.- This application uses AWS EC2 Linux instance servers to scrape and format transparency data from the US Library of Congress, US congress, US Census Bureau, the Federal Elections Commission and other government sources, for analysis and display of congressional data and metrics. Traditional media sites and social media streams are also sourced for communications with congress and other users through social media.- The server uses Python for data scraping and formatting. A REST interface is used for handling client requests. Server data is provided to the client in JSON and XML formats.- The client is an IOS native/HTML hybrid application that interactively displays server-provided data. The client app is implemented in Objective-C, C++, JavaScript and HTML.

An iterative object-oriented design and development process was used. This application is built on top of MFC for the Windows XP platform. In-Three was acquired by http://digitaldomain.com in 2010, and the system and IP are currently used to produce stereoscopic 3D releases for many major motion pictures. Reported directly to the CEO.

- Invented, prototyped, and architected the first commercially viable software system to convert 2D images to stereoscopic 3D.- Invented and implemented the core algorithmic methods for this technology.- This is an image editing/graphics application build specifically to convert standard digital images to stereoscopic pairs of images to produce a real 3D effect. The original implementation was entirely in software on the CPU. The current implementation utilizes both image processing acceleration on the Intel CPU using IntelIPP and graphics acceleration on the GPU using the OpenGL Shader Language. The code structure is object-oriented C++ with heavy use of C++ STL and custom template classes.
- Worked on a project to design and implement an OpenGL-based real time 3D tactical tracking display to support the National Missile Defense project. This application is fed data across a UDP/IP connection as the data is gathered from PAV/PAWS installations. This data represents thousands of moving objects in earth orbit. The data is displayed and updated real time in an interactive 3D environment that allows the user to 1) select and request information about any displayed data, 2) display radar sites and coverage, 3) use any Mercator projection JPEG to texture the globe. This project was implemented in object-oriented C++ using OpenGL, the GLOW GUI package and the C++ STL for platform independence and was executed on Windows 2000 and IRIX systems.- Worked on a project to analyze large data sets and develop computational methods to reformat the data in real-time to minimize size for optimal transport over UDP/IP connections. This project was written in C and object-based C++ for execution on Windows 2000 and IRIX systems.
