The Outdoor industry and ski community culture has rounded my personal and professional life starting at a very young age. Growing up with Ski sales representatives for parents I was exposed to Sample Organizing, Trade Show set up, winter ordering schedules, while observing the evolution of ski and winter products for 20+ years. I would assist my parents at national trade shows at the age of 9. Over time I began to present products to buyers, highlighting the top sellers, Key product features, and price points. By 16 I took an Apparel sales position at a large family owned Sporting goods store. They had a very high standard in product knowledge, hosting sales clinics every year from over 40 different brands. I took an interim from Joe's to move to Montana for college. Spending as much time big mountain skiing and earning a bachelor in arts degree with an emphasis on sculpture and 3D design. I wore many hats while at Joe's which really developed my overall knowledge of sales, buying, employee management, and sales data analysis. I decided to leave Minnesota to move back to the mountains, and moved to Utahs Wasatch front. It took a bit of time to settle in but after 3 part time sales jobs, purchasing a house and getting engaged, Utah feels like home. 2 years ago I accepted my current position as Softgoods product coordinator at Scott Sports USA. This has been a great rounding out of my previous knowledge of the industry. Working on the manufacturer side I interface with reps, buyers, designers, product managers and demand planners on a daily basis. -Forecasting and Purchasing for the US market Roughly $1M Wholesale in product-Analyzing sales reports and summarizing for management-Sample ordering, organizing and distribution for 10 rep groups-Giving detailed product presentations to reps, buyers and sales staff-Monitoring and advising on product shipments from the global Factory and Warehouse-Maintaining Pricing structure in SAP and sales documents Some future goals would be to continue to learn and grow in the outdoor industry.
