Studying design has challenged my analytical abilities and critical thinking. My courses in the design curriculum at Western have given me not only the necessary theoretical background but also extensive practical experience in Graphic Design, Design Production, and New Media.These experiences gave me the opportunity to interpret unique design based obstacles, in order to prepare successful visual solutions. For instance, I’ve learned pre-press and file management techniques involving CMYK and spot color manipulations for efficient and vibrant digital output. I am well versed with the Adobe Creative Suite, and it is my primary design tool. I use Photoshop (image based) and Illustrator (vector based) to create most of my compositions, and import files into InDesign for final output. I also have extensive experience with Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, and Premiere.My ability to be prepared professionally can be conveyed implicitly by my success, and the steps taken towards my career goals thus far. A strong and strict work ethic ensures I consistently meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
