Responsible for executing and overseeing the business development activities of iRobot Research, including strategic partnerships and alliances with industry and academia, program building and capture, proposal preparation, and regular contact with research sponsors and stakeholders across the US Department of Defense and other government labs and organizations. Also responsible for coordinating internal collaborations and other activities pertaining to technology transition from R&D to product.

Manager of multi-disciniplary research group of more than 35 scientists and engineers executing a portfolio of Department of Defense and internally-funded robotics research and developments projects in the areas of autonomy, human-robot interaction, collaborative unmanned systems, and novel platform design in support of unmanned ground and underwater vehicles. Also a Principal Investigator on multiple TARDEC, ARDEC, DARPA, and ONR robotics research programs in these areas.

Technical lead on multiple robotics research projects in the areas of mobile robot autonomy, multi-robot coordination, and human-robot interaction.

We aim to connect innovative small high-tech businesses and their technologies with the best funding opportunities, competitive intelligence, partners, investors, and professional expertise they need to succeed in commercializing their innovations.

Designed and implemented multiple-objective robotic mission planning, path planning, and localization algorithms and companion OpenGL visualization environment for use by autonomous all-terrain mobile robots. Incorporated use of high-resolution aerial photography and digital elevation maps, radio signal propagation models, vehicle dynamics, and high-level mission objectives.
