I work per diem in the resource pool to provide patient care on multiple units. I am responsible for assisting in the care of patients in terms of activities of daily living and personal hygiene including ambulation, bathing, dressing, and feedings. In addition, I must obtain pertinent patient data such as EKGs and vital signs to accurately chart into the system in a timely manner. I maintain patient dignity by providing care with respect and work well in collaboration with the medical teams.
