I worked in concert with the Administrator and directed the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care by current Federal, State, and HCR ManorCare standards, guidelines, and regulations. In the absence of the Administrator, assume the responsibility for center operations. 105-bed facility• Led initiative in organization restructuring due to MDS 3.0 update, care planning and focusing on the 8 nurse practice hallmarks.  Utilized human resources, information systems to enhance leadership, nursing profession practice environment sharing information, and changing organizational structure to utilizing Geriatric Psychiatric services, dementia staging, and implementing patient and safety practices, quality performance improvement initiatives, strategic and operational plans. • Collaborated with administrator ensuring organization Mission, Vision and AIM were promoted. • During 6-year tenure as Director of Nursing received less than 5 citations during annual surveys 2008, 2009, 2010 with level E and below.• Ensured compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards ensuring staff had met required educational requirements across all professional disciplines.• Led nursing department, families, staff, and vendors in conflict resolution.
