As the Practice Manager for SharePoint & Web Development at Wipro Solutions Canada, my primary focus was on new business development within Microsoft based technologies including SharePoint, Office 365, Project Server, and general ASP.NET web development activities within Western Canada. With teams in both Edmonton and Calgary, as well as an offshore team in India, we focused on the the end-to-end product life cycle for these products, including everything from setup, troubleshooting and maintenance, custom development and business process automation, as well as end user support and training.

Having worked as a consultant almost my entire career, I opted to pursue a number of freelance projects that leveraged my extensive experience within SharePoint. My primary focus during this time was assisting organizations that already had SharePoint installed to implement business automation processes leveraging workflows in SharePoint, custom form development, and OOTB UI customization. A project of particular significance during this time was assisting an organization with the design of an large Hybrid Enterprise SharePoint 2013 farm implementation that leveraged Office 365 One Drive For Business and Hybrid Search.

In 2011, Diversity Technologies Corporation begin a corporate rebranding initiative to consolidate the operations of it's subsidiary companies under one brand, Di-Corp. Tasked with the role of developing a web strategy that would support this initiative, I was responsible for creating a platform to amalgamate the various web properties that already existed for these entities under one site, as well as establish a web presence for the various entities that didn't utilize the web prior to the rebrand. The platform would require the ability to allow employees and customers to login and access proprietary product data including MSDS data for products and current inventory levels available for purchase. The system leveraged the Business Data Connectivity (BDC) Service Application in SharePoint 2010, as well as a custom authentication provider that allowed employees to upload documents to the corporate Intranet that were tagged with product and customer data from a legacy AS/400 DB2 system which then automatically published those documents to the Internet site for the respective clients to access.During the course of my employment I was also responsible for working with various marketing and design agencies that assisted Di-Corp with their rebranding initiative, as well as overseeing various development projects utilizing other agencies and resources, upgrading the existing SharePoint 2007 Intranet to SharePoint 2010, the virtualization of several legacy systems, as well as the decommissioning of several of those system including Documentum, creating a plan to migrate from SharePoint 2010 to Microsoft Office 365, and the migration from Team Foundation Server to Microsoft's cloud based Team Foundation Service.

As a Solution Developer for iomer Internet Solutions Inc. my role is to assist organizations in designing and developing enterprise class applications that leverages new or existing SharePoint infrastructure. Working directly with a number of different clients from IT Managers and Directors all the way to end users a significant portion of my job is troubleshooting and resolving issues pertaining to SharePoint environments.

My role with CGI developed over time as one of 2 developers on a team of four called the Portal Practice, to a development team lead overseeing teams of 2-7 people. When I left CGI the Portal Practice had grown to over 30 members. Various activities within my role included meeting with clients to gather requirements, creating technical and functional solution designs, overseeing the architectural setup of environments, development and coordination of technical components towards the solution, deployment coordination with managed operations vendors, and support of all solutions.

My role at Upside Software was as a junior developer. I worked on a small team constructing an AJAX based web control that utilized a number of the Web 2.0 features when Web 2.0 was just starting to gain momentum. Technologies utilized included Microsoft C#, JavaScript, XML Web Services, and SQL Server 2005.
