Duties and Responsibilities:• Pipeline routes verification & validation• Support geotechnical engineer along the pipeline route and at reservoirs• Support the Team Leader, project engineers and team members in planning, scheduling of tasks and developing integrated construction documentation;• When requested, review the shop drawings and submittals of the pipeline profiles submitted by the contractor;• Support site inspections and assessments and prepare subsequent comments and reports;• Document the positioning of all fittings / thrust blocks in the drawings and maintain accurate records for utilizing the data to generate As-Built drawings;• When requested, prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed;• Assist the Team Leader in verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites;• Support/review surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles;• Document the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features;• Review the calculations of heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain;• Prepare all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys;• Review the fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments;• Review the coordinates of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using Total station and GNSS Receivers;• Review the survey objectives and specifications survey submitted by the Contractor on site.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review work of survey staff; train survey staff in advanced survey techniques; provide technical staff assistance and direction; evaluate performance of assigned staff.• Sign/certify and seal subdivision maps, plats (deed plans) as the Kigali City's private Professional Land Surveyor.• Direct and coordinate staff in making a variety of surveys, including land surveys, topographic surveys, construction surveys and surveys to establish geodetic monuments and centrelines.• Provide technical map checking; review raw data from the field, surveys adjustments for technical correctness and conformance with Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority.• Oversee survey contract process for consulting surveying services.• Equipment and software configurations.• Reports preparation and presentation.• Maintain a digital database for existing and new Horizontal and Vertical Control Networks.• Maintain Digital Subdivision Map, Digital Parcel Map and Digital Record of Survey by using GIS Software like ArcGIS Pro 2.3.• Assist and participate in budget preparation and administration; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; submit justifications for survey related technology; monitor and control expenditures in the company.• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, Kigali City and other districts employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
