As Vice President of Business Development/Corporate Development, I play a pivotal role in driving Ascend Studio’s growth through strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and integration.

As a principal in residence, I help to develop and execute a school-wide vision that prioritizes investing and mobilizing teachers to achieve the collective goals of the school. Responsible for planning and goal settings for multiple grades to ensure alignment with both school and network goals. Establish school priorities and communicate several initiatives that address growth opportunities on campus. Prioritize and manage teachers and leaders to accomplish short- and long-term goals. Develop teachers with varying skill sets and experience levels by defining responsibilities, setting goals, and providing ongoing impact feedback and support. Plan and lead professional development sessions for teachers, teacher leaders, and new Vice Principals. Manage daily school operations with colleagues across multiple schools to ensure the safety of all students. Design and lead projects and events that proactively engage and communicate with families. Develop policies and programming to foster to positive campus culture.

As the Vice Principal, I’ve designed, implemented, and coached Common Core aligned curriculum for middle school Math and Science. Worked in coordination with school and network leadership to execute the school-wide vision and excellence systems. Made year-long academic and cultural goals through weekly data reflection and implementation meetings. Improved teacher leaders’ practices through guided coaching and feedback. Built and maintained strong mediums of communication for both parents and teachers to increase overall connections between school and home. Developed school schedules that maximize student learning while balancing teacher wellness. Provided support during COVID-19 pandemic, by creating distance learning protocols, safety-plans, and wellness support for school staff. Built a strong and positive team culture through distance learning by hosting “digital coffee” and multiple grade levels and whole staff activities

As the Grade Level Chair and Lead teacher, I was responsible for providing organizational leadership and support to all teachers within my grade level to ensure we met ambitious student achievement goals. Consistently achieved high academic goals on network and nationwide assessments by implementing data-driven processes and effective instruction. Mastered common core standards and supported my entire grade level by providing instructional guidelines and lesson plans to improve students’ results. Coordinated with school leadership to develop communication plans for families and grade-level activities. Hosted trainings for families and teachers to understand organizational practices and goals. Fostered an environment that supported transparent and positive relationships between staff, students, parents, and the community. Responsible for monitoring and addressing trends and community developments for my grade level.

As the lead teacher, I created outstanding academic achievement by creating a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment. Built a classroom community by partnering with families to facilitate my students' academic success and personal development. Achieved high academic goals on multiple network and nationwide assessments. Utilized data from these assessments to drive instruction and intervention. Designed and implemented unit and lesson plans. Attended regular professional development both internally and through other education venues. Recognized as a Teach for America “Good to Transformational” fellow for the New York Corps.
