State submitted contract signature properly authenticated under the business record exception; Court affirmed.In Re Application to Forfeit Weapons of V.B. - Forfeiture of weapons case: Defendant moved to have weapons returned during a pending divorce. State argued situation was still too volatile and State had a right to hearing before defendant may have weapons returned; Court concurred.State of New Jersey v. C.T. - Restitution case: Defendant neglected over one-hundred animals; attempted to renege on plea agreement, claiming several issues, including that she plead to a lesser offense. State argued she did plead guilty to animal cruelty. Court affirmed order to pay restitution.State of New Jersey v. G.L. - Waiver of counsel case: Defendant contended was denied right to effective assistance of counsel during trial. State argued that defendant, after a year, failed to avail self of opportunity to seek counsel, and so impliedly waived right. Court affirmed.State of New Jersey v. T.W. – Driving while impaired case: Defendant was driving vehicle while under the influence of prescribed drugs. State argued defendant was under the influence of habit forming, hallucinogenic drugs, causing deterioration of his mental faculties and physical capabilities. Court affirmed.
