The research aims to improve the forecasting capability of regional-scale storm waves which cause inundation and erosion hazards along the coastlines. The outcomes of this research will be implemented in a new Australian coastal hazard Early Warning System which is currently under development via a multidisciplinary partnership involving Australian governments, university researchers and specialist international expertise.
