Current• Executive leadership and oversight of statewide Home and Community-Based service programs including the 1915(c) Medicaid waivers for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and the Aged as well as the Lifespan Respite and Medically Handicapped Children's Programs. • Leads all DHHS HCBS waiver and policy creation including researching, analyzing, and implementing new waivers, regulations, and state policy initiatives using data-driven… Show more • Executive leadership and oversight of statewide Home and Community-Based service programs including the 1915(c) Medicaid waivers for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and the Aged as well as the Lifespan Respite and Medically Handicapped Children's Programs. • Leads all DHHS HCBS waiver and policy creation including researching, analyzing, and implementing new waivers, regulations, and state policy initiatives using data-driven practice• Represents the Division in federal policy work groups and as the state’s CSHCN/Title V Director • Liaise with the Office of Legislative Services to identify the impact of proposed legislation on the Division, complete legislative reporting, and respond to legislative correspondence• Responsible for providing recommendations that result in the continuation of the HCBS system redesign with revised service definitions and negotiations with the federal oversight body – Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)• Executive leader for the Nebraska Olmstead Plan including close coordination with other state agencies and external stakeholders to assess statewide progress on the Plan, provide for updates to the plan, and support the evaluation of the Plan as required by statute.
