Amazon Transactional Data Infrastructure● Led three teams in US and India to build various data movement products to enable data replication, migration, consolidation, aggregation etc at Amazon scale● Started initiative to break the monolith data movement products into reusable micro services. Replaced manually operated software with fully automated self service software. Live migration time reduced from months of manual work to hours. The new services are built using AWS server less technologies e.g. Glue ETL, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Function, AWS Fargate.● Led team to develop DynamoDB to DynamoDB live data migration solution. This solution provided cross AWS account, cross Region, cross database live migration with strong consistency and zero downtime.● Built a new team to start an initiative to unify different Amazon and AWS data movement products so customers can use a single service for their data movement needs.Amazon Analytical Data Infrastructure● Led team to build exabyte scale next generation data lake. Led team to build data catalog, permission management, metadata ingestion and credential management features.● Collaborated with AWS teams to build Amazon data lake using AWS technologies. Enabled row/column/cell level access security and AWS analytical tools e.g. AWS SageMaker, AWS QuickSight, AWS EMR AWS Glue ETL over Amazon's data lake. AWS built federated hybrid data lake architecture, federated lake house architecture, data mesh architecture, enabled cell level access control as a result of collaboration.● Led development of unified secure metadata lake architecture for all of Amazon's analytical data. The new solution was able to support real time data analytics and machine learning use cases by eliminating millions of data and metadata sync pipelines.● Software architecture to enable Data Deletion and Governance features

Data plane Software ● Led data plane software team and delivered forwarding features for many switching products.● Led and managed a team of 10 engineers to design and develop the software infrastructure for next-generation switching platform. Conducted interviews and mentored many engineers.● Led a major migration project to break a monolithic data plane software into loosely coupled micro services using C++, Python, and gRPC APIs.● Led development of Python based code generator for Driver code. The driver development effort reduced by 6x time● Delivered various forwarding and data plane features.● Responsible for driving technical architecture, functional design, test procedures, facilitating daily scrums and feature implementation.Analytics Platform● Responsible for the Vision, Strategy and development of analytics engine to handle batch and stream processing.● Led 3 initiatives involving geographically distributed teams across the organization to implement and deliver software features, resulting in significant revenue opportunities. ● Led Integration of Analytics Engine with Juniper SDN Controller.Test Automation Infrastructure● Led 30+ Engineers from the US and India as part of a companywide initiative for developing test automation framework.● Developed different type of testing strategies like feature specific testing, pre commit, etc. The new framework was 20x times faster than the predecessor. ● Developed the core libraries for the framework and Layer2 feature tests.● The framework completely prevented all major customer escalations.

Platform Software● Joined as one of the initial members of the R&D Team. Worked on the product from the initial requirement to releasing the product to the customers.● Designed software architecture for CPU less line cards and invented virtual ethernet port aggregators.● Designed and developed a simulation platform for Switches.● Worked on High availability, Graceful switchover and redundancy support.

Built a global team of 6+ and 20+ volunteers to create a social awareness portal for issues related to India. Created 20+ YouTube channels, 15+ Facebook Groups and Pages, and a web portal for ShankhNaad. ShankNaad's Facebook groups had 1 million+ members, and the Facebook page had 1.4 million users.
