Some decided to remain in their homes.3 – The number of people who drowned in the Highwood River either in or downstream from the town.150 – The estimated number of people rescued from flooded homes.430 – The number of Canadian Forces personnel and RCMP officers deployed in rescue efforts.400 – The estimated number of pets rescued.3,328 – The number of homes that suffered flood damage.558 – The number of homes deemed not fit for habitation.7 – The number of days the town remained off-limits to residents.529 – The number of guns seized by RCMP in a door to door search. We installed a Polycom system to support the provincial wide Telemedicine and E-Health video network. I installed and supported 375 wireless devices to all nursing floors to enhance the Meditech upgrade. I was on call 24/7 supporting doctors, nurses and support staff. Working at QHC was very rewarding experience because I felt like I made a difference in the quality of healthcare.
