ORPIC “OQ” Liwa Plastics Project - 900,000 tpa steam cracker unitWorked on the commissioning preparation for one year from office and then moved to site where managed a team of three commissioning engineers and three teams of skilled labour with experienced supervisors. Aasta Haansteen FPSO topsidesEngaged in meetings with suppliers and ensured that Statoil’s standards and environmental regulation were met. Visited suppliers’ workshops for witnessing the Factory Acceptance Tests and ensured all comments from FAT were rectified. In addition, established commissioning procedures and P&ID mark-ups for several systems; including condensate storage, fuel gas, instrument air, inert gas, emergency and essential generators, firewater pumps, chemical injection and gas re-compression. Defined required temporary utilities, facilities, equipment, special tools and commissioning spare parts and capital spare parts. Responsible for the entire platform’s first fill requirements. Reported to commissioning area lead.

Aasta Haansteen FPSO topsidesResponsible for the fuel gas, vapour recovery, emergency and essential generators and diesel systems detail engineering including P&ID development, equipment and safety devices sizing, safety and operability evaluation (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) assessment and engineering manual authoring. With co-ordination from Statoil established the start-up sequence of the fuel gas system including fuel gas supply from the export pipeline to the topsides, subsea and topside pressurization and starting up of the gas turbines. Reviewed supplier documentation and validated supplier data. Reported to process area lead.

TORWASH technologyDeveloped a novel process concept for solid biomass fuel production using the TORWASH technology. Performed process and equipment design based on experimental results developed Process Flow Diagrams, mass and energy balance and optimized the heat integration of the process. Implemented techno-economic evaluation and profitable analysis of the process. This work is patented.
