Instructional Support Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)
CurrentSupport Purdue University Mechanical Engineering Students, staff and faculty through instruction in technical labs spacing including the Metrology and Manufacturing Lab, Student Machine Shop, Powertrain Engine lab, and rapid prototyping lab. Develop standard operating procedures and training for use of equipment in the manufacturing spaces. Provide insight and assistance for the development of lab content and curriculum for undergraduate courses. Oversee all course Teaching Assistants as well as supervise over 30 undergraduate employees that act as peer mentors in the manufacturing lab spaces. Create workshops and open lab opportunities for student seeking more hands-on manufacturing experience and knowledge. Mentor Capstone Design (ME463) teams through the design and manufacturing of their projects as well as teams/students from other project courses including Sophomore Design(ME263), Principles of Manufacturing for Design(ME 363), Fluid Mechanics (ME 308), Heat and Mass Transfer (ME 315), Machine Design (ME 354), and Computer-Aided Design and Prototyping (ME 444). Support ME engine course within the Polytechnic Powertrain Engine Lab.
