About Carol Labranche
My goals are: 1. To encourage people to change their lives for the better, and 2. To enjoy my life. My non-profit work with AboutFace-USA, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Atlanta VA's veterans mental health Advocacy Council (vmhAC) and even the National Alliance on Mental Illness (I now teach their new program, Homefront). All of which help so many veterans and families that I feel blessed to be involved with them all. My true passion is for veterans and their families. AboutFace-USA is a strong advocate for veterans and families who want to turn around their lives for the better. Every person has their starting point, and we help them continue that desire to make positive changes. We help them progress through transitional phases of their lives, be it from the military to civilian life, from private health care to VA services, from isolation to networking, from unemployable to employable, and even from struggles with every-day life to successful life management.

AboutFace-USA is a Georgia nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to veterans, first responders and family members who want to turn their lives around for the better. AboutFace offers evidence-based and innovative education and peer support, life-skills training, and vocational training to help strengthen their relationships and resiliency and help them understand the necessity of both giving and taking. We provide trauma-informed care in a safe environment so that they can improve their quality of life. The AboutFace-USA Veteran and First Responder Training Village is a vision, a grassroots movement, that will provide a serene place of safety and stability for clients seeking self-sustainability after a crisis recovery.
