Eric Claeys holds a degree of Civil Engineer in Construction KUL Belgium, a degree of Industrial Engineer in Public Works KUL Belgium and graduated as a Master in Business Administration at the Vlerick institute KUL Belgium. In 1990, after having managed as CEO several successful turnaround operations in curtain wall contracting companies, he founded the company Lesos Engineering as a consulting engineering firm, specialized in the field of façade technology and façade constructions for commercial buildings.Eric has more than 30 years of experience in curtain wall technology and was involved in hundreds of prestigious projects by lots of iconic international star architects in more than 30 countries worldwide. Value Engineering has been his leitmotiv during his entire career. VE is a systematic and structured approach for improving products, where VE helps achieve an optimum balance between function, performance, quality, safety and last but not least the cost.In the year 2000, he diversified his activities to other domains where creativity stands central, such as developer/investor in high-end real estate developments as well in Belgium as overseas, organizer/curator of expositions in contemporary art, …The interdisciplinary knowledge sharing throughout these multiple fields, its future, its added value, is an essential driving factor.Where possible, he tried to create a dialogue between profit and non-profit activities as he strongly believes in the strength of the synergy between - even completely – different activities, on the condition there is a link of common philosophy.After several years of intensive research, December 2015 was the “Eureka” month of the invention of the H60-hybrid curtain wall technology.
