I’m an experienced environmental practitioner with a focus on biodiversity assessments and the development of environmental approvals strategies and documentation. With 10 years’ of experience in private sector consulting, I’ve worked across a range of market sectors, providing clients with environmental approvals advice and assisting in solving complex environmental problems. I regularly interpret and apply Commonwealth and Queensland legislation and policies for both smaller scale stand-alone project assessments through to larger landscape scale strategic assessments. With a background in terrestrial ecology, I have a thorough understanding of ecological science and the technical components that underpin how the quality of environmental values is both determined and how values may be protected, restored or improved. Throughout my career I have lead the preparation of approvals documentation, the management of the approvals process, and the development of biodiversity offset delivery strategies and site-based monitoring and management plans. I regularly manage interdisciplinary projects of all sizes and maintain a strong focus on client engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
