With over 20 years of diverse experience in the education sector, I am currently a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead for the MSc Healthcare Management and Leadership programme at the University of Worcester and our partner institute in Hong Kong (HKMA). My career journey has taken me from being a Nurse and Midwife to collaborating with Public Health Wales on the PSHE curriculum for secondary schools, and working with the Dept. for International Trade on transnational educational opportunities.I am particularly passionate about exploring the ageing experience of women transitioning into the third age, examining the interplay between societal expectations and the lived experiences of older individuals, and understanding the concept of ‘growing’ old as a continual part of the life course.I firmly believe that inclusive learning environments, which cater to the diverse needs of all students, are essential for ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. By championing inclusive educational practices and policies, I strive to contribute to a Higher Education landscape that is accessible, supportive, and empowering for all, regardless of background or circumstances.
