I graduated with honors from the MLIS program at St. Catherine University, where I focused on services for children and youth in public libraries, in December 2019. I hold a B.A. in English and French from St. Olaf College with Distinction in English and a concentration in EL K-12 Education (TEFL certified). I have extensive experience teaching and working with young people ages 2 through 22 in classrooms, one-on-one research consultations, and in summer programming settings. I served on the ALSC 2020 National Institute Task Force, planning the details of the 2020 National Institute which was the first virtual Institute and had over 850 registrants. I love walking in my neighborhood with my dog and browsing the Little Free Libraries, keeping up with what’s new in children’s literature online, and adding to my picture book collection. In addition to my professional background working with children and youth, I am a Pushcart prize and Best of the Net nominated poet.
