I oversee creative production for 8-12 content marketing projects per quarter for a variety of clients and verticals. As part of the editorial team, I worked closely with the editorial director and the creative director to produce a variety of website and magazine content, as well as written materials for additional editorial projects and events. I contributed 2-3 reported pieces for the flagship print publication each month, produced timely content for the web each week, and created and sent the weekly email newsletter. Additionally, in my time AXN, I created and implemented a new organizational system for the editorial department that eased the flow of production for the magazine each month.

I worked in the aquatics department of an award-winning college recreational facility, first as a swim instructor and later as a supervisor for the TigerSwim program. As a swim instructor, I worked with kids of all ages and created lesson plans to teach the necessary skills effectively. When I was promoted to the lead role, I took responsibility for scheduling instructors and assigning them levels to teach. I scheduled and planned trainings for the staff. I supervised weekly swim lessons and provided superior customer service to participants and their parents. I also coached an adult Masters Swim fitness program. I created workouts suited to a variety of ages and skill levels and helped participants improve as swimmers, as well as become healthier overall.

I worked closely with a team of 12 editors at an award-winning monthly city magazine and website (updated daily, 800,000-plus page views monthly). I contributed regularly to food-and-drink blogs, fact-checked a massive database of Top Doctors and Nurses. I also completed monthly fact-checking assignments, proofread galleys and copyedited the daily online newsletter, which has upward of 17,000 subscribers. Other duties included image research, filing, publishing magazine content to the website using a web-based content management system and following SEO standards to elevate articles in search engines.

As a reporter for Vox, I wrote for every department within the magazine, including news, music, food, nightlife and books. I pitched stories, conducted interviews, worked closely with my editors, produced movie reviews and contributed to a feature package that received a second-place award from the Missouri Press Association and was a national finalist in the 2013 SPJ Mark of Excellence Awards for Online Feature Reporting. During my tenure with Vox, I published more than 20 clips.

I worked as a general reporter and anchor for the news department of the University of Missouri campus radio station. I conducted and recorded interviews, wrote scripts, edited soundbites and did live broadcasts within the studio. I also co-anchored the station's coverage of the 2012 presidential election.
