Claire has a background in civil engineering and over 18 years’ experience of gas and water pipeline analysis. She has worked for DNV GL since March 2012, engaging in asset management and analytical work for water and gas industry clients. Prior to that she was Trunk Mains Project Manager for Thames Water R&D. Claire currently manages the HSE-agreed mathematical risk model used by the GB gas networks to prioritise replacement of iron pipes. She has technical expertise in asset risk modelling; asset data analystics (including statistical analysis/Monte carlo simulation); pipe failure data management and analysis; asset deterioration; water balance studies; network optimisation; hydraulic modelling and GIS analysis; trunk main failure analysis; valve management; geotechnical hazard assessment; and field data collection and data analysis. She is responsible for writing project proposals, managing budgets, and project delivery. She has presented papers at UK and overseas events, including forums with Shanghai Water Supply Shibei Co., Kiwa (Netherlands), Cambridge University and local CIWEM and PIG events. Claire has also worked briefly for Kier Construction.
