-Studied the role of alpha6 integrin subunit in reparative and tumor angiogenesis using a genetic mouse model (conditional knockout using the cre lox system). Studied the role of alpha6 in the recruitment of Tie2 expressing macrophages in ischemic sites.-Proved that alpha6 plays a major role in the proangiogenic properties of Human endothelial progenitors using RNA interference. Used in vitro cell-based assays and a model of cell therapy of hindlimb ischemia.-Studied the mechanism of action of Fucoïdan, a proangiogenic sulfated polysaccharide from brown seaweed on mature and progenitor endothelial cells (cell signaling, transcriptomic analysis and functional in vitro assays).Supervisor: Dr Dominique Helley
