The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

•Managed a budget of $40,000 and a selected committee to execute events and programming for the student body to help bringglobal context to classroom work; included vendor relations, speaker booking, and travel arrangements, and event promotion•Speakers brought by the committee included: Leymah Gbowee, Vandana Shiva, Piper Kerman, Zoe Weil, and G Yamazawa•Allocated funds for special projects, handled grant proposals, spoke at major events, and contributed to board of trustee meetings

•Responsible for the safety, well-being and community success of co-ed dorm of 33 students •Planned weekly events to facilitate community development, professional growth and leadership ability for residents•100+ hours of yearly training on effective teamwork, mental health, Title IX, conflict management, emergency response and CPR certification

•Built coalitions between Habitat for Humanity and local Newark and New York City nonprofits to gain six new sponsors for theHabitat for Humanity Free Summer Youth Camp; created promotional and informational media and waiver forms for the camp•Created a platform-use guide for the growth of the organization’s social media presence to increase volunteer recruitment•Supported logistics and synthesized data for a $100,000 Wells Fargo Planning Grant (awarded)•Networked with local businesses to gain sponsorship for Habitat for Humanity's free summer camp for Newark's youth•Revitalized the organization’s social media presence and created a platform guide for future use

•Facilitated intensive, month-long leadership and development programs for first-year college students•Supported the creation of and led training sessions on professional and personal development, team-building, public speaking, goal-setting, conflict management, interpersonal skills, effective communication, and servant leadership

•Lived on Cape Eleuthera, Bahamas off-the-grid (no television, phone, or internet access)•Conducted research on Queen Conch (strombus gigas) in Exuma Sound -Collected samples, compiled data, generated a research poster and presentation•Applied lessons in sustainability to solar and wind power practices•Received wilderness survival and leadership training, participated in kayak expeditions around Exuma•Mentored local students at Deep Creek Middle School
