This was a new role in a newly structured team within the commercial arm of the college.The aim was to assist the business development manager in increasing employer engagement activity and develop partnerships in York to promote York College’s training provisions and venue in line with the college’s objectives and targets.This was achieved by:Promoting York College through marketing campaigns to local businesses/network events/business meetings both face to face and telephone/Internal and external events/Lead generation for appointments.Completing business analysis needs to ascertain the business requirements for training, to develop training programs based on the local Labour intelligence to suit the requirements of the businesses and source appropriate funding.Promote apprenticeships/work based learning to employers/Generate proposals and costing's for commercial training/facility hire/Manage budgets and targets.Update the database for reporting and predicted sales forecasts.Projects and fundingAs part of the skills Workforce project our department led on the training activity, working closely with Job Centre’s in York to identify and provide the relevant provision to adults that needed extra training to be get back into work Pre- screen candidates and carry out BKSB diagnostic assessments to establish the level for Math and English.Funding-ESF (European Social Fund)This was a contract to support SME’s (Small and medium enterprises) with professional development training, we were involved with the developing/marketing and implementation of this training by sourcing companies that would be eligible for funding ensuring the relevant paperwork was completed to maximise the funding potential to the college.
