Philanthropy means "love of humanity" so I am indeed lucky to be in a business where I see the best in people every day. I started in a newly created position with Houston Golf Association August 17, 2016. As HGA's Director of Fund Development, I have worked on a $12 M capital campaign to restore historic Gus Wortham Park Golf Course and I raise money for First Tee - Greater Houston, a character education program for youth ages 7-18 that my kids have participated in. This chapter is the largest in the country, reaching over 300,000 youth annually. We are now $2 M towards a $6 M capital campaign to significantly upgrade our main First Tee youth facility and golf course and F.M. Law Park. I relocated to Houston in late August 2012 and enjoyed the amazing volunteers, board / advisory board members and staff I worked with as a consultant for Mission Squash, as Development Director at Child Advocates, Inc. and VP of Advancement at Family Houston. I served on the PTO board and as Co-Chair of Fundraising at my children's Mandarin Immersion Magnet School for the first 4 years when the school was brand new. The incredible parents and staff I have had the pleasure of working with at this new school are my Houston family. I recently volunteered for National Charity League with my daughter and, was Board Co-President of my son's lacrosse team at Bellaire High School. I am passionate about the values, memories and life lessons gained through youth sports and cherish volunteer jobs I have had coaching my kids in softball, basketball and soccer.
