About Claire Bills

I’m a second-year law student at the University of California, Berkeley.I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in Philosophy of Law. I also obtained a paralegal certificate from UT’s Center for Professional Education.After college, I spent 2+ years working as a criminal defense paralegal at both the Colorado Springs Public Defender and Grabski & Shah Law. During the summer of 2024, I interned at Homeless Action Center, where I provided direct services to the unhoused communities of Berkeley and Oakland.Over the next few years in law school, in addition to broadening my understanding of the American legal system, I hope to explore more areas of public interest law.
