I joined the Group 3 years after a major merge between SUEZ (international and decentralised franco-belgium group) and Gaz de France (a former industrial french state owned company). My missions were to develop the Procurement function (spend of ~30 B€, 1800 FTE)) as a vehicle for integration and to launch an ambitous performance plan recognised by the Business. Today the Strategic Sourcing and Supply function is leading its second transformation journey, delivering 3% procurement cost reduction per annum, with a fully networked organization (24 CPO of Business Units & ~ 35 Category Managers) and leveraging a panel of 250 Preferred Suppliers.In-Sourcing, Supplier relationship Management, Sourcing in China, early Involvement in Bids and a sound Digital Strategy are our key transformation drivers.

My missions were to re-boost the Purchasing Organisation towards a more centrally lead one ; deliver results in competitiveness & productivity through effective implementation of processes & maturity improvement. Procurement spend of ~5B€ (electronic S/C, components, mechanical S/C, SW engineering, General Expenses) - representing 55% of turnover. Key achievemments : professional development of the purchasing Line, transversal organisation through 5 purchase segments, creation of a shared services to manage General Expenses (France & UK - 75% of spend), re-foundation of the procurement processes integrated to Bid & Program management, procurement contribution of 50% to the competitiveness plan
