Claire is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Management Team, specialising in dealing with contentious regulatory issues for clients in the financial services sector and pensions litigation. Claire is an integral part of the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team, dealing with both enforcement proceedings instigated by the Financial Conduct Authority and also disputes arising out of the financial services sector. Claire is also a specialist pensions litigator, and is recognised in Chambers and Partners as a "key individual"​ and quoted in the directory as being "an excellent solicitor to work with on contentious pensions-related cases". She is experienced in dealing with a wide range of pensions disputes, including professional negligence claims on behalf of both trustees and employers, representative proceedings seeking directions from the Court and Pensions Ombudsman complaints. She acted on behalf of one of the representative beneficiaries in the Court of Appeal case Trustee Solutions Limited -v- Dubery and another [2008] 1 All ER 826. She advised the Port of Tyne Authority in the proceedings brought by the trustee of the Pilots National Pension Fund (PNPF Trust Company Ltd v Taylor and others [2010] EWHC 1573 (Ch)). Claire also acted for the representative members in Entrust Pensions Limited v Prospect House Ltd (2013), and for the trustees in Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) v Applegate (2013). She also regularly provides training, both bespoke in relation to her specialist sector expertise, but also general contract training on managing risks and disputes.
