Working with Dr. Gabriela Fonseca Pereira, we are conducting research on inclusive design and sense of belongingness in educational spaces. Using Turner Hall as a case study, we are conducting focus groups to receive user feedback on current perceptions of the design and overall space of Turner. From their feedback design documentation is being created to propose inclusive design changes.

I started working at Five Below in 2018 when I was hired as a sales associate. In 2020 I was promoted to a management position when we opened a new location in Plainfield. As a manager I handle scheduling, payroll, freight, training new employees, and working with customers.

This summer I am interning at Vertical Interior Design! Here I get to assist on both residential and commercial projects. There is also in house manufacturing of their own laminate surfaces and furniture so I get to experience that side of design as well. Some of my responsibilities include sample ordering, price quoting, site visits and measuring, material selection, and organizing the material library.
