Having demonstrated success in initial project management roles and with reports of high customer satisfaction on project work, I'll be taking on a bigger role with business development, project management, and client engagement. I am also responsible for ongoing client support on utility decarbonization strategy, GHG modeling, and more.

In this role part-time in addition to existing responsibilities as Senior Energy Markets Consultant.-Supporting energy utilities that have partnered with DOE to reduce their portfolio-wide GHG emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by at least 50% within 10 years. -Evaluating opportunities to expand utility engagement in the Challenge, aligned with the broader DOE objectives for the energy sector.-Coordinating with DOE Program Director, DOE Utility Sector Lead, and national lab (NREL) Utility Sector Technical Account Manager to share decarbonization and energy efficiency insight with partners, foster participation and recruitment, and review program framing on decarbonization. -Maintaining relationships with partners via correspondences and DOE events.-Monitoring engagement in Salesforce, Smartsheet, and Trello.

-Modeled energy markets and evaluating the impact of future decarbonization, electrification, and alternative fuel policies and regulations.-Supported the development of client strategies around emission reduction policies and initiatives. -Quantified the greenhouse gas emissions impact of various technologies, project setups, and fuel mixes in decarbonization scenarios and in carbon intensity evaluations for LCFS and other fuel markets. -Drafted proposals and white papers related to low carbon fuels and decarbonization strategies. -Supported marketing efforts for ICF’s energy markets and planning advisory practice.-Managed multi-task project with 4 core team members 10 additional contributors. Project engaged client in the developing utility market for renewable natural gas, maintained profitability, and ensured work satisfaction.

-Awarded one of four Rookie of the Year awards for ICF's Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure (EEI) group. -Our team working on revamping ICF's Low Carbon Fuels Service offerings was also recognized with the division Impact Innovation award in 2021. -Modeled energy markets and evaluated the impact of future decarbonization, electrification and alternative fuel policies and regulations. -Also supported the development of client strategies around emission reduction policies and initiatives.-Contributed to a nationwide study on gas utility decarbonization pathways involving energy efficiency, alternative fuels, electrification, and other emission reduction measures. -Quantified the upstream emissions impact of different RNG and hydrogen production pathways by developing reference lifecycle emissions calculators based in the GREET and CA-GREET3.0 models. -Served as a subject matter expert in support of clients' navigation of the CA Low Carbon Fuel Standard and fuel carbon intensity by modeling fuel pathways and communicating with the California Air Resources Board.

At the CSS, I conducted research for Amazon into the feasibility of decarbonizing short- and long-haul trucks. I first conducted a literature review on natural gas trucking and renewable natural gas, and then following my internship summer at Amazon, built out a report - my Master's Practicum for the University of Michigan - on the various opportunities and challenges of shifting the trucking industry to alternate fuels or electrification. I conducted carbon accounting, economic modeling, and an immense literature review of renewable natural gas, hydrogen, and electricity as alternatives to diesel linehaul.

I analyzed a stormwater management system on a manufactured gas plant remediation site. I was responsible for construction verification with design, creation of an onsite work plan to solve drainage problems, and the modification of an operations and maintenance plan for the site. I also had the opportunity to work on other projects. For example, I judged subcontractor pre-qualification documents for consistency with Burns & McDonnell's demands for workers’ safety records, applicable skillset and ability to do high quality work.

I wrote grant letters and built a spreadsheet for tracking potential new grants for Hillel to pursue. Most notably, I analyzed the Hillel facility's water consumption to build case for efficient “dual-flush toilet” funding; the project was approved and updates were implemented in Summer 2016. I was initially hired as an Administrative Intern, responsible for performing cash and credit transactions, filing, flyer design and managing phone calls, but in 2016 I became Hillel's Grants Intern.

I interned in the water/ wastewater engineering consulting business. I reviewed and edited project specifications and shop drawings to address design project submittals. I communicated with coworkers, clients and subcontractors, utilized AutoCAD 2015 to create hydraulic profiles for reference in design, and helped create a Basis of Design Report. This internship got me involved in all facets of the engineering consulting field.
