Accounts Assistant. Working on Purchase, Sales and Vehicle ledgers. Bank reconciliation, posting bank statement and cash receipt postings to Computerised accounts (Power is the software package). Processing purchase invoices, making monthly BACS payment runs and reconciling statements. Working closely with parts, sales, service and recovery departments, as well as chasing debts over one month.

Partnership Administration Assistant. Minute taking and setting up monthly and quarterly meetings, co-ordinating appointments with the general public and I set up the system to keep control of them with advice from colleagues working with me on this and recording the information that links into these. I’ve gained new skills in communicating with the general public. I work closely with partner agencies (local councils, policy authority, fire service, licensing etc.). I also place orders and match them with invoices, recording the transactions in budget spreadsheets to monitor the spend.

Finance Co-ordinator. Working closely with the Company Accountant to pull information together for quarterly and annual accounts. Purchase and Sales ledger. Receiving, checking, processing and paying Purchase invoices and employee expenses. Creating and receiving payment for Sales invoices. Job costing, bank reconciliations, filing and a lot of contact with colleagues and service suppliers for invoice queries and managing budgets (using spread sheets). Quick Books and Sage Professional.

I used a bespoke Accounting programme called Construct, designed by Red Sky (formally Ramasys). I receive, code, job cost and post hire invoices for all equipment hired WS sites that is not considered under the Sub Contract scheme. Create excel spread sheets to monitor hired equipment on each site. Pay invoices monthly by printed cheques. Collate receipts for, job cost and code Barclaycard statements. Petty Cash. Previously managed landline and mobile phone accounts. Cost coding the invoices and accommodation invoices.

Using Sage Line 50 for Windows I mainly work with the Purchase Ledger. I input the invoices/credit notes, pay them and then allocate the payments on the computer. On the Sales ledger I enter in Monthly sales figures, amounts invoiced to customers etc. I also help draw up monthly and quarterly accounts. Also carry out other clerical duties when required, i.e. post, typing, technical support, covering absence.
