With over 11 years of work experience in the education sector, I am a passionate and driven leader who specialises in academy trust governance and compliance, change and project management, board training and evaluation. As the Managing Director of Emery Support Services (ESS), an education specialist support service provider based in Bristol, I work with academy trust boards and executives to help them achieve their strategic goals and improve performance. I direct and oversee the ESS Associate Team to add additional specialist expertise and capacity to meet client needs when appropriate. As a Consultant for the Confederation of School Trusts (CST), I provide bespoke support to academy trusts on various aspects of governance, leadership, and collaboration. I am committed to advancing the quality and impact of education in the UK, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having worked in different sectors and contexts. In one of my most recent projects, I was contracted as a Project Manager to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver the merger of Futura Learning Partnership and Clevedon Learning Trust. I reported to the Joint Steering Group and the relevant authorities and partners, ensuring that the project was delivered on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption. I applied my skills in stakeholder engagement, agile project management, and board governance to facilitate the smooth and successful transition of thirteen schools, including a PFI school. I also coordinated the formal consultation and contributed to communication processes to help people adapt to the new arrangements and cultures.
